water distillation is a simple but effective process. It works by heating up regular water to about 212 degrees Fahrenheit, eliminating any potentially dangerous microbes like bacteria, cysts and viruses. Immediately steam rises, leaving behind dead microbes and any other unwanted substances such as salts, heavy metals and minerals. The steam`s then drawn away, concentrated and condensed, with all contaminants having been left behind. This process ensures not only the purest water, but the most effective removal of volatile organic compounds (VOC). These compounds are chemicals that have a high vapor pressure at ordinary room temperature, allowing them to change from solid to liquid and easily become mixed with water. VOCs have been deemed extremely hazardous by the US Environmental Protection Agency, being capable of causing damage to the eyes, nose, throat, liver, kidney and central nervous system among others.
